Armed Forces Day – National Express discount launch
National Express is today (add date) launching a travel discount to help people get out in force and show their support for the UK’s troops this summer.

The UK’s largest coach operator is offering 50 per cent off services to Guildford to help as many people as possible attend Armed Forces Day which takes place in the town on Saturday, June 27.

In launching the offer, the coach company hopes to make travel to the event, which will see the Army, Navy and Air Force put on a spectacular display, even more affordable to ensure military service people get the show of support they deserve.

National Express already offer serving personnel 60 per cent off travel – the largest discount of its kind in the UK – through the Defence Discount Service and the 50 per cent discount is to ensure everyone else can take advantage of unbeatable value travel on the big day.

Mark Lancaster, Minister for Defence Personnel and Veterans said: “Armed Forces Day is an opportunity for the whole country to come together to recognise the tremendous contribution made by those that serve and it is wonderful to see a great British business such as National Express to lead the way in bringing people together to mark this special event”.

Tom Stables, Managing Director National Express UK Coach said: “Armed Forces Day is fast becoming an annual highlight and we want to help as many people as possible fly the flag for our service personnel.
