Education - Attendance

Attendance code Northern Ireland’s Department of Education has created a specific pupil attendance code referred to as Code J (Extended Leave), that schools can apply in circumstances where time away from school is required to address a range of domestic and family-related issues. Usage of the code does not adversely affect the pupil’s attendance record.
