Guildford’s Green Watch get the job done thanks to Reservists and Ex Service personnel

There’s a high proportion of Reservists and Ex Service Personnel on the staff of Surrey’s Fire and Rescue service. But why is that?

“We have the same values and standards,” says Army veteran, Steve Owen-Hughes, Asst Chief Fire Officer Surrey Fire and Rescue. “We have the same sense of public duty, and all of us are prepared to put ourselves in harm’s way to protect the public.”
