In their first visit to operational theatre since their recent appointment to their new posts, the Chief of the Defence Staff and the Permanent Secretary visited members of military and civilian personnel in Afghanistan.
The pair began their visit in Afghan capital Kabul before going on to meet personnel at Main Operating Base Lashkar Gah, Main Operating Base Bastion, the Helmand Police Training Centre, Forward Operating Base Shawqat and Patrol Base Attal.
